The Arthur Ray Foundation is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization dedicated to helping improve lives through art and technology.
The Arthur Ray Foundation is a Naperville-based non-profit organization created to help others (including other non-profit organizations) through the use of art and technology. The Arthur Ray Foundation began as a vehicle to run and support the Naperville Independent Film Festival back in 2007. Since then, "ART-RAY" has been working with movie makers and artists to help with special projects and simply help people.
Art and technology are two areas not often associated. However, movie making is a great example of the combination of art and technology to move and motivate people. It's because of this that the foundation has geared up to use art and technology to help others.
Often people ask,"Who is Arthur Ray?" The name "Arthur Ray" is a combination of many people whose personalities, talents, and humanity form the very heart of what Arthur Ray is all about. It is a tribute to the following amazing people:
Arthur George Pradel - Movie Maker and Mayor of Naperville
George Arthur Pradel - Movie Maker - Producer/Director
Arthur Paul Pradel - Movie Maker and Father of Arthur George Pradel
Raymond Burke - A brilliant Inventor and Tinker
Brian Raymond Schultz - A shinning star who was tragically killed by a drunk driver.
There are so many other people who have inspired the foundation. These particular names kept repeating, so it made sense to to honor these people and all of the others by naming the organization for them.
